I received a BS in chemical engineering from Iowa State University in 1998. I received a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004.
Experience
Hi! My name is Steve, and I love tutoring Math and Science! I enjoy working with students to overcome their anxieties and confusion with these important subjects. I especially enjoy tutoring Chemistry, Physics, Algebra, and Calculus. I also like to help students prepare for the math portion of the SAT / ACT. I work as an engineer for a chemical company in Pasadena. During graduate school, I was a teaching assistant for several chemical engineering courses. I interacted with students during tutoring sessions. My focus is to make difficult subjects understandable and separate the important ideas from the trivial details.
